The common tongues of Oreth
The national language of a region is the "common tongue' but there are actual names of languages that are called common.
Trade Common: a simplified langauge with the basics of many languages repeated. Not only is "hello" its own word, those who know trade common actually knew a few basic versions of hello in a dozen or so language, and also a few simple phrases, in orc, elven. Otherwise it is just a vary basic version of vulgar common.
Vulgar Common: This is the Old Oderian and Banlklunish mix that is common in the areas around the boarder areas to the west, and river and sea ports. It is the main lanuage of Iuz,the Hornet society and the bandit Kindoms.
High common -Ardi, Aerdy. The Old Ode rain as the language franka of the entire eastern countries once ruled by the great kindom.
Old Oderian: Many dilects, related to common, and is spoken as the common tongue in areas outside of the empire of the Great kingdom
