New Player Rule 1410-11.1 -Rule 1410-11.12

New Player Rule:

Rule 1410-11.12:

*(Starting Players to compensate and cover for bad play gain up to 3 Fraction points (at the cost of 1d6 free luck per point) every game they are in, until that character has reached 3rd level. A player is considered new until they have have a total of 10 charter level in play, or a year of play, which every is longer. )

Exception: For zero SPE both at the very beginning of character generation a basic character can be rolled. As well, if a character that SPE has been spent is rejected, then the next character rolled can be a basic character for free. The basic method is as follows : a character can be rolled with the 3d6 per statistic take them where this is (if 6 SPE total or higher, they get 2 extra rolls) with 2 swaps between any statistic. This can be done once per character generation for free. If two characteristics are below 6 making the character unable to adventure, then all those characteristics below 6  may be re-rolled, one at a time, in any order. The character may stop the re-rolling as soon as their on only one below 6 or re-roll all of the characteristics.  If the same characteristic is rolled below 5 it stands till all the rolls are made. Repeat if more than one characteristic is below 6.
Thus one free character can be rolled at start, however if rejected, a "real" character must be made, and if rejected, another free character may be made every time "full & real" character is made and rejected. The purpose of "zero" SPE characters are to generate "Special points" without spending any, and to give a contrast between ordinary characters and regular characters. Should the character do well the player can elect to make a linked character - a protgee/nephew (by spending 1 SPE) who gains 1/2 the characters Xp off stage (& optionally other benefits) and if the player succeed in matching the value of Xp when the 1 SPE was spent, the protgee gets a bonus of xp equal to that value.
